[F] Comme pour tout animal, mon objectif premier est de vivre et d’éviter la souffrance : autrement dit, rechercher mon bien-être. Sortir du ventre de ma mère fut assez désagréable pour me faire pleurer et déclencher ainsi ma respiration pulmonaire.

Le principe de vie se concrétise chez tout animal par un “système” toujours actif capable, d’une part, d’évaluer toute situation et, d’autre part, d’orienter la réponse: évitement, affrontement, adaptation, ou autre comportement (ingestion d’un aliment par exemple). Sans ce système l’animal est voué à mourir d’inanition, sous les coups de prédateurs ou par toute cause naturelle. Ce système peut être réduit, comme chez des invertébrés, à de simples arcs réflexe. The Surfer Paradox

Look below. This is how are constituted all atoms nuclei, with an example of the interactions between the main two heavy particles: a proton and a neutron. The protons and the neutrons (like all the Matter components) are not fixed “things”. They are constituted of interactions between tinier particles called quarks. Without these interactions the nucleus would be unstable: protons and neutrons would separate and even disappear. And these interactions occur millions of times a second!
All the Matter is alike. How come am I sure to be “the same” as an instant before and even as last year? This is a big mistery! The mistery of the surfer on an ever-changing foam.

And what if this certainty to be “the same” as an instant before or even as last year was an illusion ?

J’essaye de rester debout. C’est difficile car tout bouge !
Regardez ci-contre. C’est ainsi que sont constitués les noyaux des atomes, avec un exemple des interactions entre les deux principales particules pesantes : un proton et un neutron. Les protons et les neutrons (comme tous les composants de la Matière) ne sont pas des « choses » fixes. Ils sont constitués d’interactions entre d’infimes particules nommées quarks. Sans ces interactions les noyaux seraient instables : protons et neutrons se sépareraient et même disparaîtraient. Ces interactions s’effectuent des millions de fois par seconde !
Toute la matière est ainsi faite. Comment puis-je être sûr d’être le même que l’instant d’avant et que l’an passé ?
C’est un grand mystère ! Le mystère du surfeur sur l’écume changeante.

Et si cette certitude d’être le même que l’instant d’avant ou que l’an passé était une illusion  ?

Energie, formes et Esprit Here in English

Au niveau sub-atomique tout est constitué d’échanges d’énergie entre particules. Mes pensées, qu’elles soient émotionnelles ou purement rationnelles, résultent d’échanges énergétiques ; mon cerveau lui-même est constitué d’échanges énergétiques. L’Ego, somme de nombreuses pensées et émotions, est composé de cette écume instable et, néanmoins, semble persistant (voir dans ce blog l’intuition de Bergson).

Nothingness, Energy, Matter, Mind… 1 – Néant, Energie, Matière, Esprit 1.

Why

[E] Nothingness has no need to be proven. Hence it is necessary. Except Nothingness any A depends on a cause. Whenever this cause disappears A returns to Nothingness: Nothingness is the aim of everything.

I have the impression (illusory or not) to exist. Hence a cause makes something appear. Let us call this cause Energy. This cause permanently separates all things between them and from the Nothingness. Actually the processes are more complicated as Matter may appear or disappear but Energy remains constant in an isolated system.

Within the Mind, same process. Thoughts appear. Energy continuously separates Thoughts between them and from Nothingness.

By meditative exercises the Mind may experience the Nothingness.

Is this resemblance between my mental Genesis and the material Genesis only metaphorical? Or does the Reality operate as the Mind?

[F] Le Néant n’a pas besoin de preuves. Il est donc nécessaire. Excepté le Néant tout A dépend d’une cause. Dès que cette cause disparaît, A retourne au Néant : le Néant est le but de Tout.

J’ai l’impression (illusoire ou non) d’exister. Donc une cause fait apparaître quelque chose. Nommons cette cause Energie. Cette cause sépare en permanence le Tout de son but, le Néant. En fait les processus sont plus complexes puisque de la matière peut apparaître ou disparaître mais l’Energie demeure constante.

Dans l’Esprit, même processus. Les pensées apparaissent. L’Energie continûment sépare les pensées du Néant.

Par des exercices méditatifs l’Esprit peut expérimenter le Néant.

Cette ressemblance entre ma Genèse mentale et la Genèse matérielle n’est-elle que métaphorique ? Ou bien la Réalité fonctionne-t-elle comme l’Esprit?

Elle est, dans l’ordre du lien qui coordonne les cellules d’une primitive colonie de Plasmodes, une de ces compétences primordiales élues par les milliards d’années (les micro-organismes fossiles les plus anciens, découverts en Australie, sont vieux de plus de 3 milliards d’années) de la sélection naturelle. Un organisme pluricellulaire est considéré dans la biologie Darwinienne comme une société qui s’est organisée afin de garantir une meilleure survivabilité/transmission de ses gènes (Dawkins, 1976).

Time and consciousness – Bergson’s intuition

[E] A great number of my cells gets renewed from one moment to the next. My neurons modify their connections. The very matter of my body is made of particles transforming never endingly in  a constant exchange of energy.

My individuality has  shaped on this moving foam. And this construction is strong enough so that, despite my growing up and other events of my life, it remains identical to what it was a year, a few days or twenty years ago. Even if looking at myself in a mirror or scanning the way I am, I may think “how I have changed!”, I am convinced that it is the same “Me”. [E] Birds of a feather flock together. Following this old proverb, people with common inclinations and habits tend to meet. The Law of Attraction goes further as it tells that a thought attracts and even generates the events likely to embody it.
